Blink

If you don’t mind, I will let that bewildered stare, that hard gaze at the concrete, that inability to move about this narrow sidewalk beside another human being without word or wise or eye contact, crinkle in the air like ember, like the dark rush over cooling ash, like an ounce of midnight between us.

      That’s a good question. My writings are often insights, reflections, observations, maybe a bit of commentary. : ) It’s interesting – I notice regularly, the shuffling of our human bodies, the distance and intimacy, the blind spots, the way we walk and wave our arms in the wind, in the world really. The way humans shuffle and struggle in our regard towards each other, even as we share something like space or wind.
