I’m not sure I catch the meaning here.

I like this quote because it is multifaceted and seems to speak to the practice of being creative or someone who “makes” (with materials, text, images, sound, movement, etc.).

One way I’ve thought about this quote is whether an idea is original or inspired by someone, it can be made new or fresh over and over again. There is this saying that there is nothing “new under the sun.” But there is another saying that says, “everything old is new again.” I like the idea(s) of regenerating, refreshing, reworking. There is always tomorrow when things are anew or renewed–whether we “make” them new or they are “renewed” by someone else.

I see this quote as a play on words, ideas, and practice. I also see it as creatively inspiring. Ideas, notions, projects, practices that seem old or in the past have opportunities to be new again. These ideas, notions, or concepts are always new to someone, somewhere.

      What do you think?

Thanks for taking the time to write such a long explination of what you got from this quote. I like the way you explained. In that case I do this all the time. I get so many of my ideas that were sparked by something else. I always take the time to rework and refresh adding my own thoughts, ideas and personality. Nothing new and yet everything can be looked at a new way. Thanks.
