DIY: Inspired By A Traditional Moroccan lantern

I convinced my husband to work on a few projects around the house. I was pregnant when we moved in to our house so we haven’t had time to settle in and decorate the way we want to. So our spontaneous selves dug out a few of our vintage art to dress up the walls and we took a few hours to sweep in and out of West Elm, Crate and Barrel, World Market, and Pier One to gather up a few bits to brighten the house and give it a fresh new look. This brilliant red shade is an authentic replica of a lantern used by the Berber Tribes of Morocco. It is made of handcrafted iron and treated leather. It hangs from the ceiling and gives our room a warm glow.
